When we began the year, we had no idea our team would land on the campus of the century-old establishment that is Rice University. Tasked to help construct the electrical package for a new practice facility, our team was excited to take on the unique challenge. Now in partnership with Arizon Building Systems, we are happy to see the current progress as we operate in these uncertain times.
As you can see from the photos below, our team is working in the shadow of Rice Stadium as this campus addition takes shape. Practice bubbles such as these have become a common use for weatherproof practicing facilities and Arizon has worked to ensure that these Air Domes serve the perfect function for sports organizations and more. Not only energy efficient but dynamic and resource-efficient in design, this project was a great fit from the start. Our team is currently working to complete the underground electrical system and will move into the above-ground systems before we know it. We will equip the dome structure with a backup generator system and a fully functioning electrical grid to support the inflation, cooling, heating, and lighting of the dome in all circumstances.
Overall, we are happy to see the current state of our project with Rice University. We take pride in supporting fellow Houston based organizations, and we know the facility will be put to good use. Unique projects and new challenges are some of the favorite parts of our business at Lutz Electrical Contracting, so give us a call to hear how we can bring power to your next project.
